Finally able to post with photos!!!

I am SO glad to be able to post with photos again.

So, I am going to share my Christmas photos. These photos were a gift from my oldest daughter, Christy and my daughter-in-law, Kylie. I didn't get my camera out, but my super ladies rescued me!

From the top left corner: 1. My son Brady and his nephew Jackson (our grandson) 2. Hannah and her best friend Amy 3. my dad 4. Brady and his niece (Sophia)
2nd row: 1. Hannah, Rick, Brent (our son-in-law, Sophie's dad and Christy's husband), Amy and Christy (MY SUPERHERO, our oldest and Sophie's mom), 2. my mom (holding the blanket Hannah made her for Christmas), 3. Rick in his Boise State football Santa hat, 4. Sophie and Jackson
3rd Row: 1. Kylie (MY SUPERHERO, Brady's wife) Becky (my daughter-in-law, Jake's wife and Jackson's mom) 2. the photo that Kylie took of my tree, 3. Brady and my mom and dad 4. Jake (our oldest son, Becky's husband, Jackson's father) and Brady (our youngest son and Kylie's husband)

I was also going to post a photo of my Pepper. It is going to have to wait for awhile. He was attacked a second time. He didn't have to spend the night at the vet's this time, thank goodness. But he isn't up for a photo shoot. While the second time he was attacked was not as severe in some aspects, it was in others. He didn't have to have a shunt this time, but there were more bite marks and he had a massive amount of edema. He looks like a body builder on steroids. The vet doesn't seem to feel this is a problem and he continues on his second round of anti-inflammatory meds. His right eye was also damaged a bit. We have to put eye drops in them 2 times a day. Makes me crazy.

My camera is acting up, or I would have posted a photo of the antique champagne glasses that I talked about on New Years. It doesn't matter if I hold it or use a tripod, I still get massive amounts of camera shake. If it isn't one thing it is another. I am hoping to get a new camera for my birthday. I dropped a really BIG hint to Rick tonight. I am hopeful, but I will resort to buying myself a new one if I have too (another BIG hint)!

My word for 2010 is Breathe. I am using it to remind myself to be less of a pessimist and more of an optimist. I am using it as a way to remind myself to manage (nag) my family less. I am using Breathe as a way to live more in the moment. I am pleased to say that I have noticed a difference. Rick and Hannah have noticed a difference, too. I am going to continue to focus on my goal of optimism, less nagging and more living in the moment as the year progresses. I think this will help me on my journey in life!

I am so glad that tomorrow is Friday. I have had a long week at work. I am looking forward to housework, listening to a friend's band at a local pub, tatting on a pillowcase edging, maybe quilting on my bed quilt or maybe even starting a string quilt.

Have a great day.
Donnelly

  1. Dear Donelly, Breathing is GOOD!
:) seriously, I think you got it, sister, and the way you just described it helped me to have a light-bulb moment. So I will be Breathe-ing with you, too!
    :)
